2. Data We Collect

• Merchant account information (business name, address, contact details, payment processor credentials)
• Transaction data processed through our POS and e-commerce platforms (encrypted, PCI DSS compliant)
• Customer data submitted by merchants (loyalty program members, purchase history, contact information)
• Inventory, product catalogue, and operational data uploaded by merchants
• Website analytics (IP address, browser, pages visited, session duration)

3. How We Use Your Data

• Providing POS, inventory, analytics, and loyalty platform services to merchant clients
• Processing payments through PCI DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure
• Generating merchant business analytics and reporting
• Sending product updates, support communications, and service notifications
• Improving platform features based on aggregate usage patterns

4. Data Sharing

Merchant and customer data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Transaction data is shared only with the merchant's designated payment processor for settlement. We use limited sub-processors (cloud hosting, email, support tools) bound by data processing agreements.

We comply with valid legal requests and will notify merchants when permitted by law.

5. Security

All payment data is handled under PCI DSS Level 1 certification — the highest standard. Merchant and customer data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We conduct annual SOC 2 Type II audits. Card numbers are never stored on our servers after transaction completion.

6. Cookies

We use essential session cookies, analytics cookies (Google Analytics), and merchant dashboard session cookies. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used. Merchants can configure cookie consent banners for their customer-facing e-commerce storefronts through our platform settings.

7. Your Rights

Merchants may request access to, export, correction, or deletion of their account data by contacting info@techstreamlines.com. Kentucky residents have rights under the Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act. California residents have rights under CCPA. EU/UK customers are entitled to GDPR rights. We respond within 30 days.

8. Retention

Transaction records are retained for 7 years for PCI DSS compliance and tax purposes. Merchant account data is retained while active and for 2 years after account closure. Loyalty customer data is retained per merchant instructions and applicable law.

9. Children

Our retail technology platform is directed at business operators and their adult staff. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 13. Merchants are responsible for ensuring their customer-facing loyalty and e-commerce tools comply with COPPA where applicable.

10. Policy Changes

Material changes to this policy will be communicated to merchant accounts by email at least 30 days prior to taking effect. Continued use of our platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
